Ōra King salmon is a breed of King salmon unique to any other King salmon around the world.

Raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand, our salmon start their journey in the sacred and protected waters of Te Waikoropupū Spring. Verified as one of the clearest water sources in the world, being able to work in tune with this incredible example of nature is special to us at Ōra King. 

With over 35 years of King salmon breeding and husbandry expertise, our programme has developed a breed of King salmon specifically for culinary excellence, showcasing superb taste, colour and texture to meet the exacting standards of top chefs around the world.

Ōra King is proud to be BAP Certified with a 4-Star designation, the highest possible, along with the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Green ‘Best Choice’ rating, to mark our work in responsibly raising our salmon.
